Dijon-Laval

I have been critical of Dijon on several occasions this season, but I was impressed by their attitude at Nimes last week in a 1-1 draw, they fell behind and the hosts were looking to waste time at every opportunity, but pressed and pressed, continually upping the tempo and got a well deserved injury time equaliser, that was wildly celebrated. That leaves them six points adrift of the promotion places, with matches fast running out, but their desire was so great in that game, I do not see them giving up just yet and there are still 18 points up for grabs. They are pretty much at full strength this evening.

Laval have conceded the most goals of any team outside the drop zone and not kept a cleansheet in seven, with 8 of their last 10 going "over" and the other two ending 1-1. That trend seems likely to continue this evening with both teams scoring, but I suspect we will see a very stretched last 30 minutes, with Dijon pressing for the winner. A draw would be hugely acceptable for the visitors, but they are not set up to play for that . Also, missing centre back Simon Falette (26-2-0 ... they have lost the last 4 he has missed, conceding ten goals) and defensive midfielder Anthony Gonçalves (29-3-4) and with back up central defender Miodrag Stosic also out, they seem ill equipped to keep Dijon at bay.
