Ligue 2 preview : Laval- Sedan
Taken from today's newsletter ....
I was going to put up an early bet for the weekend today, but have decided to stick with Ligue 2, where we have five previews in any case, next email will be at 10.00 UK time on Saturday and there will be a follow up at 13.00 tomorrow.
The five selections are all rated at least 1.5 units ( strong) and include one (1.75) very strong pick, as you know these are dictated by the odds offered and there is an explanation of this on the "How Everything Works " article on subscriptions page of the clubgowi website.
France: Ligue 2: Laval- Sedan
Sedan hosted Dijon on Tuesday, lost 1-0 and we already know how difficult these quick turnarounds have proved this season. They fielded a strong line up in midweek and are rotating this evening, being without central defenders Kévin Boli (17-0-0) and Florian Pinteaux (14-0-0) , defensive midfielder Damien Marcq (16-0-0) and strikers Abdoulaye Diaby (18-6-2) and Mamadou Diallo (20-3-0). This leaves them short in the middle at the back and their only striker is 20 yo Louis Bongongui who is (4-0-1) and has only seen 108 minutes of action this season. The visitors are bottom of the table, nine points from safety and have no option but to gamble for the points.
I think the situation is the same for Laval, they are in freefall and have not won in nine and are themselves in the drop zone, they need to stop the rot and fast, with a very difficult trip to Caen next week , this is where they need to draw a line in the sand. They have tried keeping thingss tight, like in their 0-0 draw with Nantes here recently and then going toe to toe with Auxerre a fortnight ago, losing by the odd goal in nine ! Somewhere between the two will do, although I expect the first goal for either side to blow this match wide open. They will have positive mental memories of the last two h2h meetings here, which they won 5-1 and 3-0. Hosts are without fringe striker Jérôme Lebouc (10-2-1), but that is about the extent of their problems, no new injuries and no excuses. They simply have to win this, I have seen them 3-4 times this season and guess I have seen the best of them as they have looked too good to go down in those games, some of the other report s have been bad though, but I feel they are the stronger team and with regard to available players, they have a big advantage this evening.1.5 units Laval -0.5 ball 2.33 asian line.
