They look decent and are tough to beat, have conceded just 17 goals in 19 Ligue 2 road starts .

 

Quite pleased with that, they have now conceded 19 in 22 away games and the two players named, have six goals and five assists between them, both contributed in a 4-0 win over Dunkerque at the weekend in just about the most one sided game you will see in Ligue 2 , as they also missed a further 4 BC's and did not give up a single attempt on target. Niort are a team we quite like and they have impressed at times this season and I wrote in glowing terms about some of the football they played in early season, but they have only finished inside the top 10 once in the last eight seasons and (almost) always seem to find a way to drop into the bottom half of the table and after a fast start this time round, that against looks likely.

 

They played well at the weekend to get back on track in a 2-0 win over struggling Ajaccio, but their 6-0 defeat at Auxerre prior to that got some alarm bells ringing and they have conceded 2+ goals (12 total) next time out after their last three clean sheets. The hosts are carrying a lot of injuries, which makes the quick turnaround difficult and they have ditched the 4-1-4-1 formation which worked so well for them through the opening games. Grenoble kept a clean sheet in two visits here last season (league and cup) one was midweek so hard to make too big a deal of the long cross country trip for them, which is the only real negative they have.
