Bundesliga betting tip: Augsburg- Hoffenheim

Augsburg- Hoffenheim:
If Fortuna Dusseldorf do not win away to Leipzig this evening (kicking off at the same time) then Augsburg are officially safe from any relegation concerns. That will hand the initiative to Hoffenheim who are still in contention for a European spot and who have the best away record in the Bundesliga outside the top six, with a 6-6-3 record. This is a favoured venue for the visitors too, with Hoffenheim having won on their last four trips down to Augsburg and by a combined 11-1, keeping clean sheets in the last three.
We opposed Hoffenheim on Friday for their home game with Leipzig ahead of which I spoke about their poor form as host and change of head coach ............
RBL should really have gone toe to toe with Bayern for the title, they are second best in all stat categories and when things click look a match for anyone, but they have drawn far too many games, seven total as host including to basement club Paderborn last weekend. Now they are not even certain of top 4, they are 3rd with a 3 point edge over Leverkusen and BMG, so in control of their own destiny but need to get back to winning ways and they need to finish this season on a high and take confidence into their Champions League campaign, not stumble over the finishing line.
Leipzig have an additional 11 points in hand over Hoffenheim on xP, have a net +188 ITB seasonal advantage and are +72 for the last 10 games, through which RBL are second best both offensively and defensively and Hoffenheim have given up a Bundesliga high 114 attempts ITB on their own goal. If both teams play up to their potential, or even close to it, this can only end one way .
RBL have picked up 31 points on the road where they have a +24 goal difference, Hoffenheim have lost 8 home games, most of any team outside the bottom four with only Paderborn conceding more goals as host.
Hoffenheim announced earlier this week that they had parted ways with head coach Alfred Schreuder with immediate effect despite the fact that there are only four games of the Bundesliga season left. Director of football Alexander Rosen said: "different views on important detailed issues" were the reason and he will take charge of the squad working alongside the rest of the coaching staff.
Both teams are missing a key defender due to suspension.
Hoffenheim lost 2-0 but played really well for the first 75 minutes , through which they were the better team and created a huge number of goalscoring chances, "winning" attempts 24-15, corners 9-1 and having 13 attempts ITB, two "big chances" and forcing six saves, with RBL goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi named man of the match. That was as many ITB attempts as RBL had given up in their last two starts combined, one of which they played 50 minutes a man short.
The win for Freiburg last night means that Hoffenheim have to win to reclaim 7th place which will now , due to Bayern playing Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal final, carry a Europa League spot.
The visitors get defender and captain Benjamin Hubner back from suspension and have every motivation to win this, if they respond to Rosen and his coaching staff ( see above) as they did on Friday they should win . Augsburg have had almost 48 hours less rest and recovery time which feels huge given the quick turnaround and the gruelling schedule to complete games since the restart and that their own motivation seems sure to fade with no home crowd if favourable news comes through from Leipzig.
