Race to Dubai betting update
We have just posted our eighth winning week from nine for clubgowi subscribers and are coming off a solid day yesterday where we were 6 from 8, but really should have been better than that !
We are currently updating the results page of the website and I will put an update on here when it is done, it is something of a pointless exercise, as anyone who has read even a few of our match/event previews and there are thousands of them here and on the old GOWI blog, cannot seriously believe that it is possible for me to lose long term !
I have reproduced a golf update below, which is taken from today's newsletter, it is a little out of context, but I wanted to post it as it relates to one of the very first clubgowi posts, which is linked below.
In the Race to Dubai standings, the leaders have closed up after yesterday's final round in Shanghai, full rankings/standings can be viewed on the European Tour site.
Top 4 are Henrik Stenson with 2.203m euros, Graeme McDowell 2.057m, Justin Rose 1.878m and Ian Poulter 1.660 m.
There is all still to play for in the two remaining big money events ,in Turkey this week and Dubai next.
Incredibly, Graeme McDowell is bypassing the event in Antalya, so a huge opportunity for everyone else to gain an advantage over the Ulsterman. Probably only Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño ,who is in 5th place, can really trouble the big four, anyone else would have to finish very high both weeks and bank on the leaders slipping up and that is unlikely, with two reduced field events, only 78 golfers are eligible to play this week for example.
Tiger Woods is playing and has been made early favourite for the Turkish Airlines Open , with our man Justin, second best.
Bookmakers are still revising their Race to Dubai odds, but obviously we have huge value with our position ( win or lose !) having taken Justin Rose (original preview) at 11.0 to win and 3.50 to finish top three and he is clearly nearer the latter price to just win the season long event now.
He was in good mood last week and spoke briefly about the two remaining tournaments: “Heading into Turkey next week, I’ve good feelings there. I know I’m not necessarily defending champion, but we went to Turkey last year and I managed to win the match play style event so hopefully it will be a nice place for me to revisit.
“I’ve also got strong memories of Dubai where I finished really strong last year as Rory birdied the last five to beat me. So I feel like I've got good vibes going into the final three events.”
An exciting couple of weeks of golf action ahead of us.
Clubgowi subscribers were also sent two football previews for today's matches, but that's why they pay the big bucks (2.7 euros per day ) !
Good Luck.
