A modicum of common sense ....
I was looking through notes of the five match previews sent to subscribers to the clubgowi newsletter service yesterday and wanted to highlight a few things.
All of the content is unique and original, you will not see the like elsewhere, remember these are just a small part of one day's output .....
"and the three returnees give the Eagles a better shape and definitely more options to nullify the aerial threat of the visitors, which is severely weakened in any case, with Pierre Webo (36-15-6... six headed goals) missing out, along with key defensive midfielder Mehmet Topal (42-4-2) and midfielder Raul Meireles( 35-3-3). They are hugely important losses IMO, we will probably see Moussa Sow as the sole "striker" and he has been less effective in this role and in the six Super Lig matches that Topal has missed, Fenernahce have collected just seven points, losing three (only 4 of the other 25) and in the two they won, Meireles played directly in front of the back four."
"Allowing for changes in the league structure, 3 of the last 4 teams to be promoted with such a low total have been immediately relegated. They might feel hard done by not to have broken their duck in a 0-0 draw with Cerezo Osaka last week, after hitting the woodwork twice through Yasuhito Morishima and Takuya Marutani, but they were largely outplayed and looked especially vunerable on the right flank, something which has been a problem previously. They remain without Yuri Kimura in midfield, he had 9 assists last season and they do not have a like for like replacement."
"Iwata again look set to be without Jung Woo-Young (6-0-2) in the holding role and were said to be short of suitable options at the back last week, meaning that Masahiko Inoha played in central defence less than 100% fit, he left the field immediately after the third goal was scored, so I think that information was correct and hardly augurs well. I see no reason why Iwata should be a solid favourite for this and.... "
"Four very key players in this team are not just the wrong side of 30, but at least mid and in two cases late 30's. No injuries has meant little rotation in these areas and whilst that has been good so far, I feel it might come at a cost somewhere down the line (today ?). The backline is largely unchanged through six games and with an average age of almost 33, might start to be increasingly vunerable, on the one occasion they did look to switch things around resting one, they conceded twice and brought him off the bench late in the game. "
That is what subscriber get for the princely sum of 17 euros per week ( six month subscriprion), detailed analysis and an original approach to previewing matches.
We do have a results tab on the website now, almost against my better judgement, if you need to see statistics to feel that previews that contain information like that, are going to make you money, then you are not someone I would want as a subscriber in any case. In addition to the cost of subscription, you have to have at least a modicum of common sense, if you have both, take a look at the subscription page.
Good Luck.
